I (Mari) met Jesus when I was 3.
I didn’t do anything to make that happen. Jesus showed up.
That’s the whole fuel to the fire… grace.
Throughout my life,
I’ve had dreams, visions, impressions and heard the voice of Jesus.
Over the years,
I’ve learned that while it is all grace, there are ways to connect intentionally with Jesus.
Some people call these spiritual disciplines, but I prefer calling them an ancient term,
“practicing the presence.”
You are responsible for your own spiritual direction.
I believe that jesus will speak to you even as you read this page.
You can know JEsus in your everyday life,

Make Space
Peace is where God begins.
I’ve heard Jesus speak through chaos and noise, but cultivating stillness is a great beginning.
Bringing the body and mind into stillness is the first step to anything… because stillness leads to an awareness of God.

Know the tone
God is love. God is light.
God is spirit.
Hearing from God means to hear from pure love.
Personally, I’ve found the voice of Jesus to carry weight, joy, humor, peace, patience, mercy, forgiveness, majesty and glory.
Shame is not from Jesus.
The best way to learn the tone of Jesus’ voice is through the Bible. the Bible is nearly 1/3 “God told me something and I went and did it.”
I’m partial to the gospels and the prophets for hearing God’s tone.
the why & How
God speaks to you for your clarity, comfort and encouragement…
through a variety of means.
I’ve personally experienced direction, course correction, words for others, words for myself…
I’ve heard from God through the Bible, dreams, visions seen with the mind, pictures in the mind, impressions, smells, audible voice, internal voice, physical sensations and in my mind.
Be Aware
When we draw near to Jesus, Jesus draws near to us.
I’ve never been much of a “quiet time Christian” but I am definitely a “pray without ceasing” person.
Teaching yourself to be constantly aware that Jesus is speaking and that His presence is near will lead to more adventures than you ever thought possible.
Practicing an awareness of God as you go means fixing the gaze of your heart on the person of Jesus.
And when not if you hear, write it down.
Seek and find
If you are seeking the presence and voice of Jesus, I promise that you’ll find Him…
because He promised you would.
