It’s no secret if you’ve been in my life

That the things I’ve had to overcome privately

Have been pretty out of this world.

I don’t often meet people with stories that are similar to mine
but when I do, I’m grateful.
We are cut from a different, fiercer cloth.

Give me the people

Who understand suffering

And who understand power…

Who don’t look away from the hard.

I went through some big moments the past 18 months.
The thing about big moments is that they can take a while to fully integrate.

After a dramatic close,
I had a little invitation,

Which I gladly took,

To revisit some holy groundwork

I laid with Christ

In the wilds of New Mexico.

This is a holy space for me.

It’s no accident that this is sort of the Wild West, spiritually speaking.

I feel very understood here.

It’s also a place where I feel free to think outside the box.

This is the extended version of what I did and saw last month.
